Since I started this blog 5 days ago, changed the way I am shaping my business, started using my hobbies to anchor me in calmness when the going become too much for my nervous system, started using this blog to support me on this journey while also supporting me as I continue figure out how to shape the business, beautiful insights have been happening.

Today, for instance, as I was relaxing with some Youtube videos, it occurred to me that I often think about various art I wish to make but aren’t so quick at taking action on those instincts and tend to put everything else first (home chores, business tasks, etc) and make a plan for it. So, I decided from now on, whenever I catch myself with a thought of making art, I’ll drop what I’m doing – as far as possible of course – and just open my sketchbook or Procreate and get doing.

Today I dusted this old vintage journal I got off Temu a while back and I started using it for journaling and art making.

What a very lovely experience! I opened one of my blog posts with an image of my mint leaves and used that as inspiration for the above. I added black pen work on top. I used a very cheap set of watercolour pans to do this and love it. The point here is not getting it perfect or even good but rather get back into it and savour the moment. I can say that’s mission accomplished for today. I’m not sure where I wish to go with this, I guess I could add it to my hobby list and call it art journaling.
